Simple Present Tense, İngilizcede:
- alışkanlıkları,
- rutinleri,
- genel doğruları,
- bilimsel gerçekleri,
- değişmeyen durumları
anlatmak için kullanılır.
1. Simple Present Tense Nedir?
Türkçedeki:
- “yaparım”
- “gider”
- “okur”
- “sever”
- “çalışır”
gibi anlamlar verir.
Örnek:
- I play football. → Futbol oynarım.
- She drinks coffee. → Kahve içer.
- They live in Ankara. → Ankara’da yaşarlar.

Normalde sadece “-s”
- play → plays
- read → reads
- drink → drinks
“-es” Alan Fiiller
Fiil şu harflerle bitiyorsa:

“-es” gelir.
