A Visit to My Grandparents’ Farm

My name is Tom and last weekend I visited my grandparents. They do not live in the city. They live in a small, beautiful village in the countryside. They have a big farm with many plants and animals. I love going there because the air is clean and it is very quiet. I went there with my father on Friday evening. We stayed until Sunday afternoon. On Saturday morning, I woke up very early at six o’clock. The sun was rising and the birds were singing. My grandfather was already awake. He was going to feed the animals, and I decided to help him. First, we went to the chicken coop. We gave grains to the chickens. My grandfather asked me to collect the fresh eggs. There were eight eggs. Next, we visited the cows and horses. My grandparents have three black cows and two beautiful brown horses. The horses are very strong. My grandfather let me ride one of the horses. It was very exciting! After working on the farm, we went to the kitchen. My grandmother prepared a big breakfast for us. We ate the fresh eggs, homemade cheese, bread, and sweet honey from their own bees. In the afternoon, I helped my grandmother in her vegetable garden. We picked red tomatoes, green cucumbers, and big carrots for dinner. I felt tired at night, but I was very happy. Farm life is very interesting.
